Tomorrow’s financial leaders get their start here

Finance Academy is an open program for second semester students at Gies that prepares students for advancement in Golder Academies, though successful completion does not ensure entrance into an Academy. 

Finance Academy has a twofold objective: to provide students with the technical skills necessary to launch their Gies careers particularly via the Golder Academies, and to gain the understanding and knowledge to be successful in the job recruitment process which begins earlier in their careers before they have had the requisite academic experience. The skills the students develop will also allow them to achieve even more success in their academic coursework because they will gain knowledge of financial software, financial modeling and financial statement analysis which will be applied in upper-level Finance classes.

The Finance Academy gives strong academic performers an edge by providing a comprehensive technical education that exposes you to the diversity and complexity of the field. That’s how we create well-rounded leaders who will be ready to take on tomorrow’s financial challenges.
